Here are some ways to get involved.
Join the Victoria Grandmothers for Africa and work with other dedicated grandmothers and "grandothers" to help turn the tide of HIV/AIDS in Africa. All our efforts are in support of the Stephen Lewis Foundation and the Grandmothers to Grandmothers Campaign.
For further information about joining our group, or about coming to our next Welcome Gathering, please contact our membership chair, Orleen MacLulich at firstname.lastname@example.org or 250-388-5298
Make a donation to the Stephen Lewis Foundation and the Grandmothers to Grandmothers Campaign. “As I’ve learned over the last twenty-five years, a few well-placed dollars at community level can restore both hope and resilience, and it’s the women, courageous, loving, indomitable, who provide the leadership at community level. I think of the women of Africa: they are magnificent!” Stephen Lewis speaking at the Women Moving Millions Summit: "The Power of Purpose" September 17, 2015, New York
Attend one of our upcoming events or join us at a General Meeting. To see what events are coming up, check out our Upcoming Events page. From African Dinners to our highly successful Cycle Tours as well our ongoing Sales and Crafts markets and Educational presentations, there are opportunities for everyone to be involved and support our cause.
Our next event is our Annual Cycle Tours weekend - Sept 6-8 featuring both our 275 km tour from Campbell River to Victoria and our 50 km tour on the Saanich Peninsula. Both groups will come together for the Cycle Tours Welcome Home celebration at Centennial Square in Victoria on Sunday, September 8 at 3:00 pm. Riders will be led in by Victoria Mayor Lisa Helps.
