Who we are and what we do.
The Victoria Grandmothers for Africa is one of 260 Canadian groups working together to raise funds for the Grandmothers to Grandmothers campaign of the Stephen Lewis Foundation. This campaign supports African grandmothers who care for their AIDS-orphaned grandchildren.
In 2014, Victoria Grandmothers for Africa raised $105.846.92 for the Grandmothers to Grandmothers Campaign and the Stephen Lewis Foundation. And since the group's inception in 2006, we have raised over $900.00.00. Our hope is that by the end of 2015 we will top the one million mark!
Our work is accomplished through a variety of committees of interest. Members join a committee and engage in its work, meeting new people, learning new things and making friends.
For more information about our group, please contact the coordinator, Christine Scott at email@example.com
Our next important fundraiser is:
Cycle Tour 2015: Campbell River to Victoria, September 11–13 & NEW 50km Victoria ride, September 13
We invite friends, relatives, media and the public to greet, meet and donate to the cyclists as they make scheduled stops all along the route including chances to see the NEW 50km Victoria Cycle Tour riders.
View planned stops for the Campbell River to Victoria ride and the 50km Victoria ride on our Upcoming Events page.
